So you think you’re ready to jump into the Christian dating game? And you’re ready to wow every Christian single that comes along, right?
Whoa, hold on a second.
Before we dive into the deep end, let’s make sure we have a few things in order first.
One thing that could make a world of difference in the way you present yourself to other Christian singles and your success in the Christian dating world is your confidence level.
If you’re going to put yourself out on the playing field, you have to start with bolstering your self worth.
Remember, you’re God’s creation. He made you special, unlike any other. He loves you and has great plans for your life.
And He wants you to be happy!
Many people lack confidence in the way they look, present company included.
My wife makes a point to compliment my appearance on a daily basis. Yet I STILL have issues with my teeth, skin, slight pot belly, and other things–even though she’s telling me I’m attractive Every Day!
I struggle with confidence in this area, but with God’s help, I know I can ditch those beliefs and change my outlook about who I am.
And believe me; if I can do it, you can too!
Two things you may want to consider to help you boost your confidence and turn the heads of single Christians are:
Eliminate those people who bring you down:
Many of you may have a friend or family member who constantly derides you.
Maybe they’re critical of your appearance. Or the fact that you’re still single (I see lots of nodding heads out there).
There’s many reason for this (jealousy comes to mind) but the plain fact remains that these people are detrimental to your confidence level and are hindering your relationship with God.
Getting past this is definitely not easy, but can be done.
First of all, pray for strength and guidance. Then confront them privately about the issue. Tell them exactly how you feel. Sometimes, they’re not even aware of what they’re doing.
Also, tell them you’ve forgiven them for what they’ve done. Often, this one statement will melt the hardest of hearts.
If that doesn’t solve the problem, do anything you can to keep them at arm’s length. It may be difficult and you may hurt some feelings, but your well being is paramount here.
Besides, if there were something in your life that was obviously coming between you and what the Lord desires for you, wouldn’t you want to move it out of the way?
Get a New Look:
There’s nothing like a significant change in your appearance to bump your confidence level up a notch. It’s the oldest trick in the book, but also one of the most effective.
My wife recently made a commitment to shedding a few pounds by utilizing a walking program from a leading fitness trainer.
She’s been going at it solid for about 3 weeks now, and the change in her has been tremendous.
She’s sleeping better, has more energy, and feels wonderful. She hasn’t reached her goal yet, but she’s getting there, day by day.
Her confidence level has shot through the roof and so has her level of attractiveness to me. Not necessarily in a physical way, but in her attitude.
I’m really digging it!
Hey, you can do this too. It’s not rocket science, just a commitment to looking and feeling better.
So go buy a new outfit. Get your hair colored. Join a fitness program. It’s completely up to you.
One thing’s for sure: You’ll look great, feel great, and have an awesome new attitude towards life.
Don’t delay–start working on cranking up your confidence level today. You’ll be amazed at the results, both inside and out.
